At the Lakeshore Optimist Club of Grosse Pointe, we believe that recognizing and uplifting young people is one of the most powerful ways to build a stronger, brighter future for our community. The goal behind our Youth Appreciation Awards Program is to celebrates the character, leadership, and service of exceptional students in the Grosse Pointes and surrounding areas.
Purpose and Mission
The Youth Appreciation Awards Program is dedicated to honoring young individuals who go above and beyond in academics, kindness, volunteerism, resilience, and leadership. Each year, students are nominated by educators, mentors, and local leaders for their contributions.
Through this program, we aim to:
